Just a quick note on this post...

First, thanks for the link. We pointed our readers at your site because it has the best systematic ratings we've seen.

Second, regarding your comment that "in their respective nations, the latter experience will set you back three times as much as the 'economy' version" - just a point to make that you'll probably appreciate: Never, ever, have I seen espresso served in a paper cup. I've spent many years in Switzerland, and even in the divest of dive bars, if you order an espresso at 5 in the morning when the place is packed to the gills with drunkards, you'll get a professionally made espresso. Presented, of course, with your own cream packet, sugar, spoon, and a small piece of chocolate (no water, but then again you probably don't want water if you're in that place at 5 AM).

Lastly, in regards to your point about the relative strength of the Swiss Franc vs. the US Dollar, have a look at our FINANCEHYPE or other posts about Switzerland.

Cheers!

It is sad that we have come to such heights in the US - not leaving even a minute or two to enjoy the a shot or two of espresso.
